The Petaloso Story
Petaloso, named after a word dreamed up by an eight-year-old boy in Copper, a town in central Italy, meaning “full of petals”. We loved it instantly. It feels like us: joyful, a little unexpected, and overflowing with beautiful flowers.
At Petaloso, we put our own twist on floral design, blending classic elements with a fresh, creative perspective. Every project is treated as a one-of-a-kind work of art, designed to feel immersive, expressive, and unique.
From weddings and celebrations to brand activations, film, and large-scale installations, we create floral moments that transform spaces and leave a lasting impression.
Our studio is based in Charleston, South Carolina. Available worldwide!
Meet Lori, Owner + Creative Director
Hey you- I’m glad you found me!
I’m Lori, owner, creative director + lead designer at Petaloso. Nearly two decades in the floral world have taught me that flowers are not just decoration, they’re a way to make a space feel alive, stir emotions, and create something totally unforgettable.
I’ve studied floral design around the globe, from Chicago to London, Italy to Amsterdam, learning from some of the best in the industry. Curiosity keeps the work fresh… and life interesting!
I call Charleston home, where I live with my pups Jazz + Luigi. When I’m not completely lost in flowers, you can find me in yoga, attempting to find balance, in my garden, hanging with family + friends, or showing up for causes I care about, like the American Lung Association.
If I were a flower? Fringe tulip, no question; bright, a little unruly, always chasing the light. fun fact: tulips keep growing up towards the light, even after they’ve been cut from their root… You can’t keep this gal down ;)
